One of Japan's most recognised manufacturers of mid-century glass is Sanyu Glass (full name Sanyu Glass Factory Ltd), a company who produced an outstanding amount of art glass, based in Osaka, Japan.
The company have been manufacturing glass from as early as the 1950s, prolific in the 1960s and 1970s with a fantastic range of vases, centrepieces and art pieces, found in a variety of styles.
Those bound for the export market can predominantly be found with the Sanyu Glass branding (black on silver foil labels), while those found domestically in Japan are mostly seen with the Narumi Fantasy Glass branding (red and black on gold foil labels).

A gorgeous multicolour vase, in a ribbed style which appears in a variety of colour combinations. This particular piece starts with red, through orange and yellow, down to green and cobalt blue.
