We are Stan and David, the founders and curators behind the collection.

Born from a lifelong passion for mid-century design and curated vintage treasures, our brand reflects our personal dedication to collecting and preserving exceptional pieces. Over the years, we have cultivated a deep appreciation for the unique and the timeless; from textured Italian ceramics and ceramic table lamps to striking Japanese art glass.

Since 2012, That Retro Piece has served a global community of vintage enthusiasts online. We pride ourselves on our expertise in sourcing rare, high-quality home décor and ensuring they reach you safely through our meticulous packing standards.

Our continued growth led to the opening of our first bricks-and-mortar boutique in Summer Hill in early 2021. By late 2022, we expanded into a larger, light-filled showroom in Newtown. Situated at the northern end of King Street, this vibrant Sydney space allows us to showcase our evolving collections more beautifully than ever.

It has been an incredible journey, and we are profoundly grateful to share it with such a loyal community of collectors and design lovers around the world.
