Ellis Ceramics was an Australian pottery set up in 1953 by a Czechoslovakian couple, Dasa and Milda Kratochvil, in the backyard of their home in Abbotsford, Melbourne.
Their work is mainly slip-cast earthenware although they did experiment at one stage with stoneware and also made a small variety of wheel-thrown bowls and plates.
Many pieces are hand decorated or carved, some by art students. This makes each piece individual even when produced from the same mould.

Bulb Fits a standard B22 bayonet light bulb.
Condition Great to excellent condition with no major wear that we can see. Some light scuffs on the wooden neck of the base, as per the image.
