Company Tirschenreuth

Porzellanfabrik Tirschenreuth was founded in 1838 by Heinrich Eichhorn in Tirschenreuth, Bavaria, Germany, following a royal concession to establish a porcelain manufacturer in the region. After surviving a town fire in 1848, the company modernised its operations, expanded into international export markets, and earned acclaim for its durable hotelware, fine dinner services, and decorated giftware.

In 1927, the factory was acquired by the prestigious Lorenz Hutschenreuther AG, operating as a prominent subsidiary that maintained its own distinct branding and regional identity for decades. Following a consolidation into the centralised Hutschenreuther group in 1969 and a celebration of its 150th anniversary in 1988, economic challenges and shifting global markets ultimately forced the permanent closure of the Tirschenreuth factory in 1994.
