More about ASTRACOLOR, The Sign of Fine Glassware:

These Polish cocktail glass sets are sometimes found with the label 'ASTRACOLOR, The Sign of Fine Glassware' - a brand used by the Australian company Astra Specialties (sometimes referred to as Astra Agencies); a prominent importer based in Sydney during the 1950s/60s.

Rather than being a manufacturer itself, Astra Specialties were a wholesaler and distributor that commissioned high-quality glassware from factories across Eastern Europe; most notably from Czechoslovakia and Poland.

The Astracolor foil label was applied to a wide range of hand-blown and hand-crafted items, typically in silver or gold. Many items also carried a separate secondary sticker indicating the specific country of origin (eg: "Made in Poland" or "Made in Czechoslovakia")
