Carstens Tönnieshof was a prominent West German ceramics manufacturer established in 1947 by brothers Christian and Ernst Carstens. Originally operating as Carstens-Uffrecht in East Germany from 1892, the company relocated and rebuilt following the collapse of their original factory during the Second World War.
Operating from their new base, the company quickly became a leading producer of the era, capitalising on the post-war demand for modern interior decor. By the mid-20th century, Carstens Tönnieshof had expanded internationally, establishing production facilities in Austria and South America before eventually ceasing operations in 1984.
