The roots of Iittala date back to 1881 when a glass factory was established in a village of the same name in southern Finland. In its early years Iittala produced blown, pressed, polished, painted and etched glass according to continental models.
In the beginning of the 20th century dinnerware was decorated with a variety of ornaments. Iittala was one of the first companies to make the transition from decorative dinner sets to functional, aesthetically pleasing objects infused with progressive Scandinavian design.

'Ultima Thule' - inspired by the melting ice in Lapland, Wirkkala originally created the surface of Ultima Thule in the 1960s after carving into a graphic mould. An exclusive design reflecting the thousands of hours spent perfecting the glass-blowing technique required to produce the effect.

Orders are dispatched within Australia Post via Standard Post. If you require Express Post, please make contact and a quote can be provided.
For most items shipped via Standard Post, shipping is capped at $20 for under 5kg and $30 for greater than 5kg. Shipping for larger items like lamps will vary between $50-$60. Extra larger items such as wall sculptures will vary again.

We offer international shipping to almost all countries worldwide. Prices are dependant on weight, which is calculated at the check-out. Simply place the item(s) in your cart and add a shipping address, and a shipping quote will be provided.
