Lorraine Glass was established by Earl Meyers in 1962 and was a division of his larger holdings (S.P. Meyers and Co. Ltd) which imported other decorative goods as well as Bohemia Glass from Czechoslovakia.

Lorraine was a prominent Canadian glasshouse operating in Montreal during the same years as Chalet Artistic Glass. The Montreal factory employed about 50 workers and produced approximately 10,000 pieces a month - making it the closest company in size and production numbers to Chalet.

Lorraine products were distributed worldwide - in Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. It operated until 1974.

THIS LISTING

A pretty spectacular blue centrepiece in a long, stretched design. This is a well known model from the company, appearing in vintage catalogues.

Measuring a whopping 74cm (29") long, 27cm tall and 31cm wide, this piece in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or major scratches.

There are some bubbles in the glass from manufacturing and some light surface scratches, mainly towards the base, again very minimal.
