Who, what and where?

Crown Crystal Glass opened a glass manufacturing facility in Christchurch, New Zealand in the suburb in Hornby. Whilst New Zealand PYREX existed, it wasn't made at the plant, as such.

Production of PYREX glass ovenware and tableware occured in Australia at the Waterloo plant, with 'blanks' or plain opal pieces sent to the Christchurch facility. They were then decorated with locally designed patterns, providing the New Zealand market with PYREX ware specific to the region.

Alongside the locally designed pieces, PYREX was also imported for sale from the United Kingdom and Australia.
