Kurata Glass (Japan) Art Glass 8" Ball Vase

One of Japan's manufacturers of mid-century glass that is not as well-known that some of the others is Kurata Glass, a company who produced a smaller amount of incredible art glass pieces, but still predominantly focused on the Western export market.

Often produced under the name Kurata Craft Glass, the name was a brand used by Japanese glass manufacturer Joetsu Crystal Glass Company, of the Joetsu region. 

 

THIS LISTING

A gorgeous multi-coloured vase in a style known to be from the company's range of coloured art glassware. This particular version of ball vase contains sunflower yellow, olive green and dark grey.

Production 1960s/70s

Dimensions 20cm tall, 20cm diameter

Condition Great condition with no major wear - we would have said excellent, but there is a small flaw internally, as per the last picture.
