Alvino Bagni est né à Lastra a Signa, en Italie, en 1919. Dès son plus jeune âge, il s'intéresse à la céramique. Grâce aux enseignements d'un artiste plus âgé, Torello Santini, il trouve un emploi dans l'atelier de la fabrique de céramique d'Arnaldo Pugi à Ponte a Signa.
Après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, Pugi apporta à Bagni le soutien financier nécessaire pour l'aider à ouvrir son propre atelier. Alvino emmena avec lui plusieurs membres de sa famille, dont sa femme Gina, qui l'accompagna tout au long de sa carrière. Les années 1950 et 1960 furent fondamentales pour l'entreprise Bagni, qui réussit à établir des relations privilégiées avec plusieurs grands noms du design et du commerce américains, dont Raymor et Rosenthal, pour lesquels il créa des objets extrêmement modernes pour l'époque.

Un magnifique chat en céramique dans un magnifique décor floral, datant des années 1960. Les fleurs colorées sont recouvertes d'une glaçure brillante sur un fond noir mat. Les couleurs ressortent ainsi à merveille !
Cette beauté mesure environ 30 cm (12") de haut.
Il est en excellent état vintage, sans éclats, fissures ni traces d'usure. Estampillé « Italie » sur la base.

Orders are dispatched within Australia Post via Standard Post. If you require Express Post, please make contact and a quote can be provided.
For most items shipped via Standard Post, shipping is capped at $20 for under 5kg and $30 for greater than 5kg. Shipping for larger items like lamps will vary between $50-$60. Extra larger items such as wall sculptures will vary again.
