Alfredo Barbini a commencé son apprentissage de l'art de la fabrication du verre en 1912, à l'âge de dix ans, à Abate Zanetti , l'école de design rattachée au musée du verre de Murano.
Il travaille ensuite pour Ferro Toso, Cristalleria Murano, Zecchin-Martinuzzi, Seguso Vetri'dArte et Vetri Artistici Muranesi Societa Anonima .
En 1946, Barbini devint associé de Cenedese , puis créa Barbini Glassworks en 1950. Salviati apporta une aide financière pour la mise en place de l'usine et, en échange, Barbini fournit à l'entreprise une partie de la verrerie qu'elle produisait.
Barbini est devenu célèbre pour ses formes sculpturales massives et imposantes qui lui ont valu de nombreux prix.

Orders are dispatched within Australia Post via Standard Post. If you require Express Post, please make contact and a quote can be provided.
For most items shipped via Standard Post, shipping is capped at $20 for under 5kg and $30 for greater than 5kg. Shipping for larger items like lamps will vary between $50-$60. Extra larger items such as wall sculptures will vary again.
