Alfredo Barbini comenzó a aprender el arte de la fabricación del vidrio en 1912, a los diez años, en Abate Zanetti , la escuela de diseño adjunta al Museo del Vidrio de Murano.
Luego pasó a trabajar para Ferro Toso, Cristalleria Murano, Zecchin-Martinuzzi, Seguso Vetri'dArte y Vetri Artistici Muranesi Societa Anonima .
En 1946 Barbini se convirtió en socio de Cenedese y luego comenzó Barbini Glassworks en 1950. Salviati proporcionó cierta ayuda financiera para establecer la fábrica y, a cambio, Barbini suministró a la empresa parte de la cristalería que producían.
Barbini se ha hecho famoso por sus formas escultóricas pesadas y gruesas que le han valido numerosos premios.

Orders are dispatched within Australia Post via Standard Post. If you require Express Post, please make contact and a quote can be provided.
For most items shipped via Standard Post, shipping is capped at $20 for under 5kg and $30 for greater than 5kg. Shipping for larger items like lamps will vary between $50-$60. Extra larger items such as wall sculptures will vary again.
