Kumela Glass was a smaller Finnish glass manufacturer, based in Riihimaki, and founded in 1933. The company predominantly produced household and utility glass, with key designers Kaj Blomqvist (1939-), Pentti Sarpaneva (1925-78) and Armando Jacobino (1922-70) having worked at the company across the mid-century period.

In the mid 1970s the company (owned by the Kumela family) sold the business to Humppila Glass, another Finnish glass manufacturer, and continued to produce pieces under the company name until such time that they were purchased by the Wartsila group (parent company of Arabia, Finel, Iittala, etc) in the mid 1980s.
