El Riihimaki La cristalería fue fundada en 1910 en la ciudad de Riihimäki, Finlandia, por M. A. Kolehmainen y su hijo, A. P. Kolehmainen. Inicialmente, fabricaban vidrio doméstico y para envases, y en 1919 comenzaron a fabricar botellas y vidrio para ventanas.
Riihimaki se convirtió en la mayor fábrica de vidrio de Finlandia después de comprar la cristalería Kaukalahti en 1927. La empresa pasó a llamarse Riihimaen Lasi Oy en 1937 y Aimo Okkolin comenzó a diseñar para Riihimaki ese mismo año.
Helena Tynell se unió a Riihimaki en 1949, seguida por Nanny Still en 1949 y Tamara Aladin en 1959. Juntas, estas cuatro fueron las diseñadoras principales de Riihimaki durante los siguientes 20 años y produjeron una gran cantidad de diseños populares que aún hoy se pueden encontrar fácilmente.

Orders are dispatched within Australia Post via Standard Post. If you require Express Post, please make contact and a quote can be provided.
For most items shipped via Standard Post, shipping is capped at $20 for under 5kg and $30 for greater than 5kg. Shipping for larger items like lamps will vary between $50-$60. Extra larger items such as wall sculptures will vary again.
