An incredible vintage starburst wall clock in the 'Royal Star' design, made by Seth Thomas in Dunbarton, Scotland.
The Royal Star model was one of a series of stunning mid-century wall clocks released by the company in 1966.
This particular piece features teak starbursts positioned along brass spikes, topped with brass balls. The wooden teak squares are in great condition, with some light surface wear. Two have been repaired with wood putty, which is only visible from the reverse side (as per the last picture).
The clock face features a classic Seth Thomas face, with black numbers and black hands. The face has two very minor dings, barely noticeable (and wouldn't be at all once hung), which you can see in picture (near the numbers 2 and 3).
The mechanism has been replaced by our local and reputable clock repairer with a new Quartz movement.
Overall we can't see any real major wear, just a couple of normal scuffs.
This fantastic piece measures approx 52.5cm (20.5") in diameter.
The wooden teaks can be safely removed, so we're happy to ship this anywhere.
