Chalet Artistic Glass was established in 1961 by Venetian glassblower Angelo Tedesco, his brother Luigi Tedesco and brother-in-lawSergio Pagnin, originally as the company Murano Glass, in Quebec. After a fire destroyed their premises in Montreal, they relocated to Cornwall, Ontario in 1962.
Chalet was a prominent Canadian glasshouse operating in Montreal during the same years as Lorraine Glass.
Chalet products were distributed worldwide - in Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. It operated until 1975.

THIS LISTING
A pretty spectacular kingfisher blue centrepiece, in a long and stretched style! This is a well known model from the company, appearing in vintage catalogues.
Measuring a fantastic 56cm (22") long, 25cm tall and 26cm wide, this piece in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or major scratches.
There are some bubbles in the glass from manufacturing and some light surface scratches, mainly towards the base, very minimal however and expected.
The piece is stamped with an <E> on the base, as this was made for and sold at Eaton's (a Canadian department store).
This might be one of the incredible pieces of glass we think we've seen!
