James and George Meakin founded their company, J&G Meakin, in Staffordshire in 1851.

Producing a range of well-known and sought-after tableware, they had close affiliations with other potters within the same region such as the Johnson Brothers and Alfred Meakin (their brother). These affiliations saw designs and patterns shared across a variety of pieces.

Condition Great to excellent condition with very little surface wear. A couple of light scuffs, but very minimal. Free from chips or cracks.
