A stunning example of a ribbed glass vase, made in Murano, Italy.
Measuring approx 30cm (12") tall, this extraordinary piece is in excellent vintage condition with no wear that we can see. There are some bubbles in the glass from manufacturing, not uncommon with these vintage glass pieces.
It features an aubergine (amethyst) colour at the tips, which blends into an amber body with green stripes.
Whilst we know this is from the island of Murano, we're unable to identify exactly which Italian manufacturer.
We can confirm however that this piece was imported into the United States via Jordan Imports Company (aka JICO), based in New York, circa 1960s. We have added a snapshot of the original vintage import catalogue showing this piece as model #5065.
