Westminster (Australia) Teacup, Saucer and Side Plate Trios (x2)
Westminster Fine China Australia started in Melbourne in 1954 by Stanley Rogers and Son Ltd. They initially used imported blanks from Japan, which were made to their specifications, and which were then decorated locally.
They produced a standard range of shapes for souvenir ware, later expanding into a wide range of tea sets, dinnerware and many other styles of china ware.
This particular listing includes TWO teacups, saucers and side plates in a stunning 22 carat gold design. Really, they're so stunning we're not even sure these pictures do them justice!
We would question if these have been used as the teacups still have the paper label internally, highlighting the use of the 22 carat gold. The only sign of wear is on one teacup two tiny spots of what looks to be rubbing, as per the last picture.
These measure approx 7.5cm tall x 8cm diameter (teacups), 14cm diameter (saucer) and 16.5cm diameter (side plate).
Made in Australia, in the 1950s.
