Villeroy & Boch (Luxembourg) 'Acapulco' cup and saucer duo
The Acapulco pattern was designed for Villeroy & Boch by Christiane Reuter, inspired by paintings seen by Reuter whilst on holiday in Mexico. The pattern was applied to the "Milano" body shape, designed by Ludwig Scherer.
The range was introduced in 1967 and discontinued permanently in 1994 with no subsequent reissues. Acapulco was one of the most successful Villeroy & Boch patterns and remains one of the most sought after and collected of their designs.
