Le Creuset is a premium French cookware manufacturer best known for its colourfully-enameled cast-iron cookware - French ovens - also known as cocottes. The company also makes many other types of cookware and bakeware, from fondue-sets to tagines to other ceramic pieces.

The company was founded in 1925 by Armand Desaegher and Octave Aubecq after meeting at a Brussels Fair. A specialist in enamelling and the other, an expert in casting, set out to produce and release their first piece in the company's signature orange glaze - known as Volcanic - which is still in production today.
