Kalmar Ceramics were produced by migrants Julius and Irene Kalmar of Hungary from the early 1950's to mid 1960's. Their first factory was at Lakemba, NSW and they later moved to Punchbowl. They are renowned for their stunning lustreware pieces - various vases and ornaments with a stunning coloured, lustre finish.

This particular listing features a lustre vase in pink and yellow.

In good vintage condition. No chips, but there is a small hairline crack near the rim, which you can see in the last picture. It also shows some signs of wear internally via crazing and light staining. .

It stands approx 24cm tall, 27cm wide at its widest point and is 11cm deep. A stunning piece of Australian ceramic history!
