Schmid Kreglinger are a Japanese company, (part of Schmid International) specialising in porcelain dinnerware. They produced the 1960s popular fine art porcelain series Kelco designed by Lagardo Tackett, especially made for the European, British and American Western Markets.

The bright sets either featured a bold opaque colour with a contrasting coloured rim, or an abstract or geometric design with the primary colour reflective on the matching saucer.

THIS LISTING:

An incredible and (complete!) coffee set in a bright, glossy purple - one of the hardest to find colour combinations to find.

A full set for six which includes six cups and saucers, a large coffee pot, sugar bowl (with lid) and creamer and all pieces are in great to excellent vintage condition, with no major wear that we can see.

The saucers show some light surface wear from usage, as do the teacups, but very minimal. Note the slight colour variation in the teacups and saucers, versus the coffee pot and accessories. Minor but worth mentioning. The colour hasn't faded, simply a different shade.

Measuring approx 7.5cm tall x 5.5cm diameter (cup), 13.5cm (saucer), 23cm tall x 9cm diameter (coffee pot), 8cm tall x 8cm diameter (sugar bowl), 11.5cm tall x 4.5cm diameter (creamer).
