Kalmar Pottery were produced by migrants Julius and Irene Kalmar of Hungary from the early 1950's to mid 1960's. Their first factory was at Lakemba, NSW and they later moved to Punchbowl.

They are renowned for their stunning lustreware pieces - various vases and ornaments with a stunning coloured, lustre finish. Iconic Australian pottery that is still highly collectable today.

A stunning, large fish vase. Featured in lustre finish of harlequin colours and gold accents.

This beauty is in great to excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks, and only a small amount of crazing. A very small amount of wear to the gold accents, but minimal.

It measures approx 32cm tall x 30cm wide and is marked V 123 on the base.

One of the harder to find models of these incredible Australian pottery pieces, dating back to the golden age of Australian pottery - circa 1950s.
