By the early 1960s, he was transforming discarded metal into textured works of art, working after hours in a shed at the corner of the yard. Exposure at a Chicago furniture show brought interest from sales representatives across the country, and growing demand prompted Weinstein to open a dedicated production studio and showroom in downtown Saint Louis in 1967.
