Alfares de Ponte Sampaio, better known as the brand Pontesa, launched as a company in 1961 in Vigo, Spain.
They went on the be the largest Spanish producer of porcelain ceramics and at one stage had over 30 stores across the country and employed more than 5,000 workers.
Across the 1960s and 1970s they produced a wonderful range of floral and abstract designs relevant to both eras.

A fabulous design of flowers in a range of purple tones.
This set includes six (6) entree/luncheon plates, all in great to excellent vintage condition. There is very little surface wear, and the pattern is bright and shiny. One plate has some light crazing on the reverse, as per the last picture.
Each measures approx 21cm (8") diameter.
